In a game with playoff implications Newport went on the road and beat Mascoma Saturday afternoon to secure their place in the postseason.
Newport Sophomore CJ Lawrence ran for 178 yards and 2 TDs.
The win brings Newport to 6-2 and drops Mascoma to 5-3 in the Division III West Conference. With the win, Newport earns the right to travel to Stevens in the Conference Championship game.
