The Weathervane Seafoods BST Summer Madness Re-Cap

Brett Hanson led Central with a season high 28 points

Manchester Central knocked Merrimack from the ranks of unbeaten teams with a 61-37 win Sunday night in the BST Summer Madness league.

Brett Hanson exploded for 28 points in the win while Evan McDonald added 10 for Central.

 Merrimack, playing without all-state guard Eric Gendron, was led by Austin Franzen with 12 points. In other action Bishop Brady moved into a tie for second place at 5-1 with a 55-49 win over NYDL-Navy. Jourdain Bell led the way for Brady with 15 points while Tim Riehl led NYDL-Navy with 16 of his own. Tewksbury (MA) defeated Lawrence (MA) easily, 64-30, behind 17 points from Nate Tenaglia, 15 from Justin Darrah and 11 from Xavier Salamon. In the fourth game of the night Bishop Guertin improved to 3-3 with a 58-25 win over Bedford. Costas Niarhos led the way with 13 points with Wally Kwiecinski adding 11. Ryan Hughes was the high man for Bedford with 7 points.
